These little creatures are fired multiple times as I build up layers of enamel. They usually get fired at least 8 times. with these latest creatures I got carried away grinding the enamel down to a very fine consistency before applying it, which gives a semi transparent finish.

These are all fired using a gas torch which means the colour on the back is sometimes uneven. I have fused gold and silver leaf into the enamel in some of them, or used 23ct gold or fine silver paint.

I have used lead free enamel on copper which is salvaged from the scrap bin of a local metal dealer and would otherwise go for reprocessing

The jump ring and chain is sterling silver.
